The Smooth Summer Shave Guide

The Smooth Summer Shave Guide

Smooth skin for summer? Say less.
Our no-faff, 3-step shave guide tackles bumps, dryness and ingrowns so you can stay soft, glowy and stress-free all season long. 💦✨

Because summer skin deserves more than just a quick swipe of a razor.

Let’s be honest: shaving in summer hits differently. There's more skin on show, more heat, more sweat, and a whole lot more potential for irritation. Between last-minute beach plans, SPF layers, and that random heatwave no one expected, your skin is doing a lot.

That’s where we come in. This is your updated, upgraded, irritation-dodging, glow-boosting guide to a smooth summer shave, FFS style.

Step 1: Exfoliate like you mean it

Smooth skin starts before you pick up the razor.
Our Revitalise & Renew Body Scrub gently buffs away dead skin cells, clears out pores and helps free trapped hairs (you know, the ones that love to become ingrowns). Plus, exfoliating gives your razor a better chance at a close, clean glide. Goodbye bumps, hello softness.

🧽 Tip: Use circular motions and focus on areas prone to irritation or dryness, like underarms, bikini line and backs of thighs.

Step 2: Shave smart, not hard

This is not the season to dry shave and hope for the best. Our Moisturise & Glide Shave Cream is packed with coconut oil, shea butter and witch hazel to cushion your skin, help your razor glide with ease and lock in hydration while you shave. Think of it as your skin’s silky bodyguard.

🪒 Bonus: It works perfectly with our razor heads and won’t clog your blade – so you can actually enjoy the process.

Step 3: Show your skin some post-shave love

Shaving = exfoliation. And exfoliation = freshly exposed skin. Give it what it needs: moisture and calm. Our Repair & Soothe Body Cream is lightweight but loaded; it calms, and strengthens with Shea Butter, Aloe, and Niacinamide. No stickiness, just soft skin and a subtle spa-fresh scent.

Keep it clean, keep it dry

Once you’ve finished shaving, give your razor a proper rinse and a pat dry. Leaving it in a puddle of water (or worse, the bottom of the shower) is a fast track to blunt, bacteria-packed blades. Pop it somewhere dry and out of splash range, our handy razor holder makes that bit easy. It sticks to your tiles, looks cute, and keeps your razor within reach but out of the drama.

And remember…

  • Swap your blades regularly – dull blades are a one-way ticket to razor burn and strawberry legs.

  • Avoid shaving right before tanning – whether it’s fake or real. Let skin settle first.

  • Exfoliate 1–2 times a week to keep ingrowns in check.

  • Hydration is key – from shave cream to SPF to drinking your water, always.

Glow without the irritation. Shave without the stress. That’s how we do summer at FFS.

Now go show off those legs. Or don’t. You’re smooth either way. ☀️
